This is the story of a startup. A real startup. We hear buzz words like “authenticity” and “the people behind the brand” and “the story.” But we only see a small sliver of what’s real. I mean your everyday people are taking dozens of selfies, choosing that one picture that makes them look good, running it through all types of photo editing software and filters. And they present to the world this picture perfect version of themselves. That’s your everyday people. Now imagine what businesses and brands do. They go through multiple layers of edits, legal departments, and focus groups to find out what you want to hear. All that crap you see on company websites, social media, and Shark Tank… do you really believe it?

We’re going to do what everyone claims to do but doesn’t do. We’re going to give you the REAL story. How we started, what we’ve gone through, what we’re doing, and how we’re doing it. It’s going to be raw. It’s going to be uncensored. It’s going to be detailed. And at times it’s not going to present us in the best light. But it’s going to be real.

Expect names, dollar values, actual numbers. Our competitors will have a field day with this. So will other companies we work with. Some will love it, some will hate it. Expect some profanity (hopefully not a lot). We’re not doing this to be offensive or to act tough. It’s just part of the real day to day of our lives, and we’re not leaving anything out.

There are a bunch of stories and recollections of companies out there, but they’re all AFTER-THE-FACT. When you’re reading about Phil Knight’s struggles with Nike, or Steve Jobs’ hard times with Apple… you know how it’s going to end. You know there’s going to be a happy ending. Not here. None of us know what tomorrow will bring and that’s what makes this so intriguing. But I’ll tell you what I do know, we’re going to make it. And not just kind of make it, we’re going to make it big. You’re on board with us from this point on so buckle up.
